| The foundations of these stories reflect the times. Gunsmoke was the number four rated top TV show. I'm not sure this was his influence. I have not real idea what was ever his influence. Lance was just a creative writer. |

| To keep all the quizzers sharp we had multiple church teams and even our college group had a quiz team. They were lead by Holden Bowker, not studying at the University of Saskatchewan. Holden had been our top quizzer for three years while in High School. |

| This was a quizzing tournament with a few district teams in for a weekend. Two things surprise me: 1) The College group was undefeated and out own team did not win a single match. Apparently, some of our top quizzers did not make the competition. No doubt they could not get out of bed on a Saturday. |
